Privacy and GDPR Regulation
GDPR, officially regulation (UE) n.2016/679, is a regulation of the European Union with regard to personal information and privacy.
With this regulation, the European Commission intends to strengthen and standardise personal information protection for citizens of the European Union and residents of the European Union, both within and outside the borders of the European Union (EU).
The text, adopted on 27 April 2016, was published in the European Official Journal on 4 May 2016 and came into force on 25 May of the same year. It began to be definitively effective on 25 May 2018.
This document also addresses the issue of exporting personal data outside the EU and obliges all data controllers (also having their registered office outside the European Union) who process data of residents of the European Union to observe and fulfil the obligations envisaged. The main objectives of the European Commission are to give back to citizens the control of their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment concerning international affairs by unifying and making the privacy legislation within the EU homogeneous. Since its entry into force, GDPR has replaced the contents of the Data Protection Directive (Directive 95/46 / EC) and, in Italy, repealed the provisions of the code for the protection of personal data (dlgs.n. 196 / 2003).

By using this website, you understand and agree that:
- Purpose and legal basis of the processing
The collection and processing of personal data is done with the aim of promoting the activities of the ‘PROCURA GENERALIZIA’ OF THE SISTERS OF ST. JOSEPH OF THE APPARITION. The images (photos and videos) will eventually be collected during events, gatherings, meetings, activities and may be used on editorial products (in paper and electronic format) produced by the ‘PROCURA GENERALIZIA’ OF THE SISTERS OF ST. JOSEPH OF THE APPARITION, as well as published on the website and on the pages of social networks that may be managed by the ‘Procura Generalizia’. The legal basis that legitimizes the consequent processing is the pursuit of the data controller’s legitimate interest and consists in the difficulty of the practical management that a collection of consent could entail in identifying the persons concerned who issue a refusal in the waiver, the minimization of the processing adopted (e.g. prevalence of landscape images used that do not allow the unambiguous identification of the person concerned, respect for the decency of the subjects filmed, deletion of any images concerning so-called “vulnerable” subjects – minors, disabled people, etc.) as well as the organisational/informative measures adopted to allow the data subject to protect his or her rights (e.g. concise information in invitations, detailed information also available on the day of the event/activity, verbal notices, the possibility for the person concerned to object to the processing and the retention time of the publication). - Place of processing
The data are currently processed and archived at the headquarters of the ‘PROCURA GENERALIZIA’ OF THE SISTERS OF ST. JOSEPH OF THE APPARITION, in Via Paolo III, 16 – 00165 ROME. They are also processed, on behalf of the Data Controller, by professionals and/or companies in charge of carrying out technical, development, management, administrative and accounting activities. - Storage times
For the purpose of dissemination, the retention period established does not exceed the time required to fulfil the above mentioned dissemination purposes and in any case until the person concerned decides to submit a request to object to the processing. Some selected images may be kept indefinitely for the purpose of historical archiving by the Data Controller.
SSL On Selected Websites
An SSL certificate serves as a digital “passport” that allows data to be transmitted over secure networks – protecting financial and credit card transactions, signups, web access to mail, sensitive information and intranets. It authenticates and encrypts the data transferred through the website to the server.
